BROAD RIPPLE began quickly, had good speed to take command going to the turn, met a strong bid from PEACE RIVER entering the stretch, then drew out smartly during the stretch drive after bearing out. PEACE RIVER," a keen factor in the early stages, was no match for the winner after making a bold effort at the stretch turn. ROBINS COVE circled her field and finished full of run. SHARPSHOOTER, holding a forward position early, failed to menace after saving a lot of ground entering the stretch when the leaders swung wide. OVERPLAY finished stoutly after beginning slowly.
