! THE FIGHTER AND OTHER ! I STARS NAMED FOR 5,000 ! ADDED DETROIT DERBY i i I ARLINGTON, Texas, April 20. The Detroit Derby, with 5,000 added, at a mile and three-sixteenths, to be run on Saturday, June 13, will be a great horse race if indications of the early interest already taken in it by the horsemen is any criterion. This is shown by the early entries of the classy three-year-olds now stabled at Arlington Downs, which promise to be important factors in the three-year-old classics of the year and several of which are short-priced pre-post candidates for the Kentucky Derby. The most important of the entries on present form are the three high class colts in the" Milky Way Stable, The Fighter, Sangreal and Doran, which were handed to director of racing Joseph A. Murphy by Bob McGar-vey today. Next in importance are the entries of He Did and Valevictorian, which Tommy Taylor handed in befoje the Mason horses were shipped to Lexington. Ttennob is another important entry. Tony Pelleteri, who has the colt, believes that he has a superior mud runner and will be ready for the best that the West can produce, irrespective of track conditions. A. G. Tarn has entered Rush-away and Miss Bam. The stable is known to be very high on Rushaway and believe that he will be able to hold his own with the best as the season progresses. Other entries are Holl Image, winner of the Arkansas Derby; Tugboat Frank, Inscona, Flag Cadet and Lolschen.
