DERBY HOPES MOVE NORTH The Fighter Due to Leave Arlington Downs Wednesday Others En Route to Louisville. ARLINGTON, Texas, April 20. With the Texas Derby added to his list of notable achievements The Fighter, Mrs. Ethel V. Mars main reliance for Kentucky Derby honors, will be shipped to Churchill Downs Wednesday night. The son of Bull Dog came out of his engagement in fine fettle and trainer Robert McGarvey is very optimistic regarding his chances in the famed Kentucky classic. Sangreal also came out of his race in good style and, with Whiskolo, departed for Churchill Downs tonight. They go along with Ttennob, another Kentucky Derby eligible and, others of the Millsdale, C. A. Peck and A. Pelleteri stable. Part-owner and trainer Pelleteri stated today that Ttennobs injury would not prevent him from filling his Kentucky Derby engagement. Pelleteri was afraid to run him Saturday, believing that it would ruin the colt for the rest of the year. Rushaway is not eligible for the Kentucky Derby and Holl Image, which finished third to The Fighter and Rushaway, is en route to the scene of the Churchill Downs classic. With others of the Jack Carter string, Holl Image occupied one of the special stalls in the seven carloads that left the Arlington Downs siding late Saturday afternoon. McGarvey is shipping immediately after the running of the Juvenile Stakes. Today he sent Gallaclay and Ancestral to Milky Way Farms at Pulaski, Tenn. Gallaclay will be unsexed and turned out until fall. Five two-year-olds now at the farm will be shipped to Churchill Downs to augment the stable. Forever Yours, winner of the Lassie Stakes and disappointing favorite in the Deaf Smith Purse here Saturday, came out of the race with several bad cuts on her right hind leg. This was responsible for her poor effort, but McGarvey does not believe it will stop her training.
