YOUR HONOR moved into command after the break, raced straight and under restraint, drew away with ease and had speed in reserve at the end. JINX, a forward factor from the start, responded readily to pressure to outlast TWOSOME. The latter broke slowly but was placed under pressure, improved her position steadily on the inside and finished with good courage. TINTORETTO raced truly on the outside and in a forward position made a determined bid under pressure, but faltered suddenly nearing the finish. NEBRASKA CITY showed some improvement and closed well. Won ridden out; second and third driving. SCINTILLATOR improved his position steadily on the inside, responded to pressure in the final eighth, wore down the leaders and then drew away. KNIGHT GALLANT forced the pace from the start, shook off MERRY MAKER nearing the final eighth, assumed a brief lead, but hung badly at the end. MERRY MAKER showed early speed, raced truly on the outside, but came again under pressure in the final few strides. POST MERIDIAN raced greenly throughout, as did FENCING. BLACK BUDDY broke well, dropped back after the break and failed la impiuve his position when called upon. JAIR was bothered after the break when TRUMPERY swerved over. He was placed under severe pressure to improve his position, but tired at the end. CHANCER showed a flash of early speed, but quit badly in the final quarter mile. Overweight — Black Buddy, 1 pound. MAXINE F. raced forwardly under restraint, but could not improve her position under urging. THORSON showed an even effort all the way. FORTIFICATION was taken under restraint when outrun, but followed the pace closely, faltered badly in the stretch run and was not persevered with.
