MISS SAXON, fractious at the post but away well and lucky, was under light restraint for a half mile, came between horjes when making her move in the stretch and. continuing well after getting up without need of strong pressure, won handily. ROBERT S.. also rank at the post and away fast, was cleverly rated and held on gamely. OUR SAMMY, away slowly and far back for three-eighths, improved his position rapidly thereafter and finished fastest. SOURDINE, away slowly, moved up with a rush when racing wide on the turn, bore out when entering the stretch and tired in the late stages. MIDLANDA Finished well. NELLO was on the inside throughout and was crowded back on the turn. PARADE STEP and GAMALIEL quit badly in the stretch. Scratched— 25533 Abby B., 110; 25222 Hour Lady. 105. MARVEL, improved and well up from the start, saved ground where possible until reaching th« stretch, where, after racing around the leaders, he drew out to win with something left. CLIVE far back for a halt mile, bettered his position steadily thereafter and wore down CLOVERPORT in the ilosirm strides The latter, much used in the early stages and sent to the front on the inside, was under strongpressure in the final quarter and tired near the end. GOLDEN BEAM came from far back in the last quarter. HANDSOME JOHN also began slowly. LEEORAN, given a hustling ride, showed speed to the stietch WISE DORA had no mishaps. BARDOGA was jostled about earlv. LOST LAUGHTER larked -peed and was far back throughout. TEMPLE HILL, saving much ground and taken under mild restraint after moving up in the opening quarter, raced to the lead gradually when urged in the final quarter and, strongly shaken up in the final sixteenth, appeared to have little left. SANTERNO, probably best and in the middle of the track in the final half mile, was slow to respond, but came with good belated speed after reaching the stretch and was getting to the winner. DELGADO, fractious at the post and also slow to get going, improved his position rapidly through the final quarter. FIRST TRY also made up ground in the stretch. JOANEY B. tired badly. PETTY TAW forced the early pace under lieht restraint, but gave way when placed to light pressure. BEAU MONDE quit. Scratched— 25677 Yankee Waters. 110; Ripplealong, 103; 25224 Synopsis, 105. FAIR OAKS, away fast and hustled into command, was given a breathing spell on the turn and, responding to light hand riding, came away steadily in the stretch. SQUAW LADY, taken back at the start, raced wide in the final three-eighths and closed strongly in a fine effort. WOOF, quick to begin and rated along steadily for about three-eighths, swerved to the inside in the stretch, but held on well, although failing to withstand SQUAW LADYS rush. BUSY LUTRECIA, taken back several times and raced wide, might have been more of a factor under a better judged ride. DERBY DUSK was tiring when cut off by WOOF in the stretch. OVER YONDER, outrun early, improved his position after five-sixteenths, but tired in the drive. HOLDUM BROWN had no mishaps. KAIMASK tired. PRINCE FELLOW, on the inside for three-quarters and well up from the start, closed well after coming to the outside. ERIN TORCH made a good pace under clever rating, saved ground where possible and tired slightly in the drive. WISE DUKE was under strong urging after a half mile and had no mishaps. SIS AGNES, a strong factor from the start and under restraint for three-quarters, held on well, although she was no match for the winner. LUCY, slow to respond to pressure, finished fast on the outside. COHORT LASS sulfered early interference and showed a good effort. CARNELIAN also met interference. FOR ROMANCE faltered when placed to strong urging in the f.nal quarter. CELIBA had speed, but quit badly after leaching the stretch. LADY MACAW sulked. GYPSY FLAME, away fast but outrun early, improved her position steadily, responded fast entering he stretch, forged to the front nearing the final eighth, withstood SMILIN ED, but had nothing left. SMILIN ED moved up under steadying restraint, bore out badly entering the stretch, but held on well. Al.SANG. atra stapes! and outrun for three quarters, was sent around his field when improving his position f and closed with a rush. GREY NOSE took command at once, rave way when challenged and came again in the drive, but tired in the last stages. BURNT TRAIL made up ground in the drive. LAWYER BRIGADE was sent through the field when impro ing his position, but quit badly after offering a mild bid approaching the final half mile. SIR BOSTON took the lead under hustling tactics, but quit badlv in the final quarter.
