| ] ■ ! ! ! I 1 j j ! WRACK GREATEST MONEY | j WINNING SIRE — HIS j COMPLETE STUD RECORD j The noted stallion Wrack, which died Oct. 24, 1935, at the Ellerslie Stud of his owner, A. B. Hancock, never headed the American sire list, but had the distinction of being the greatest money-winning sire, with a total of ,404,163 won by his progeny from 1919 to 1935, inclusive. Notice of Wracks death was not received until late in January and for that reason was not published in the 1936 American Racing Manual. Wrack was foaled in England in 1909 by Robert le Diable— Samphire, the latter a daughter of Isinglass, and was bred by Lord | Roseberry, in whose colors he raced with j much success, winning sixteen stake races. | He was brought to this country by Mr. Han- ■ cock after his racing days were ended and j proved an instantaneous success in the stud, j He was among the twenty leading sires ten of the seventeen years his offspring have appeared in racing, and collectively they ; won 1,914 races and ,404,163, as mentioned , 1 above.
