BRILLIANT ROSE, outrun for three-quarters, responded fast entering the stretch, drove to the front in the last eighth and won easily. WENDOVER moved up on the outside with a rush, but tired after offering a bold bid entering the stretch. FOOLHARDY took command at once, drew clear rapidly, responded to strong urging in the stretch, but tired near the end. WEGOWAY, slow to begin, improved his position steadily and finished strongly. NAWAB, shuffled back after five-sixteenths and in close quarters thereafter, tired in th« drive. GOODBYE BLUES came over sharply when improving her position and tired. ENTREE quit. RIFF quit.
