SIS ROYAL, away fast, drew clear nearing the far turn, was forced to meet a determined bid from LITTLE AUDREY when reaching the stretch, responded gamely when placed under pressure and drew out again in the last sixteenth. LITTLE AUDREY, in closest pursuit of the winner throughout, moved up stoutly, appeared ready to go to the front after reaching the stretch, but was unable to keep pace in the drive. LADY MILLY raced forwardly placed all the way. BOOM TOWN moved up gamely rounding the far turn and, though unable to reach the leaders, showed a good effort. PITTER PAT. outrun for the first half mile, swune to the outside when reaching the stretch and, closing with a rush, was up in the concluding stride. OPEN RANGE drew away into a good lead, was given a breathing spell rounding the far turn, increased his lead entering the stretch and just failed to last. COLONEL ED, unable to reach the leaders early, came willingly in the last three sixteenths. CHANCERY moved up gamely in the run down the back stretch, made a bold attempt to reach the pacemaker, but was not good enough and tired in the stretch run. He pulled up lame. KEOKEE was reserved within striking distance of the early pace, responded gamely when placed under punishment, wore down GOOD OMEN for the lead and, hard ridden for the remainder of the trip, had enough in reserve to hold UNLAWFUL safe. The latter moved up gradually on the outside and closed with good energy in Hie dosing drive. GOOD OMEN had good early speed, but flattened out when reaching the stretch. HEEDLESS GAL dropped back soon after the start and never entered into serious contention. THE TRIUMVIR, badly outrun early, closed eamelv throueh the last eichth. AIRY HEIRESS quit badlv. BILLY I., outpaced until the last eighth, closed with a rush. PHARATIME, prominently sj laced all the way. was unable to improve his position under punishment. WISE ANNE had good speed, established the pace for the first half mile, but was unable to keep up when challenged. LITTLE DINAH lacked her usual earlv speed and was far bark all the way. SWAMP ANGEL, prominently placed and under reserve for the first three-quarters, responded gamely when reaching the stretch, wore down VITASCOPE and in a hard drive outlasted the latter at the end. VITASCOPE raced to the front when BADGE OF HONOR began tiring, drew clear and, despite fighting it out in determined fashion, was unable to withstand the winners bid. OLD COMRADE, unruly at the post, closed ground in the last quarter. REMINDING, slow to bein, moved into rontention around the first turn, continued to lore ground throughout and was unable to keep pace in the last five sixteenths. BADGE OF HONOR showed speed in pacemaking, but dropped back when nearing the stretch. AHRIMAN trailed far back throughout. . SUN APOLLO gradually came through on the inside at the stretch turn and finished gamely. STEELHEAD. in the first flight all the wav, continued willinglv to the end. CHANCE KING finished eoine willinjly, but was never able to endanger the leaders. MY PURCHASE faltered in the stretch run. EASIEST WAY swerved to the inside when reaching the stretch. QUIET PLEASE, outrun through the early stages, came with a rush through the stretch and, catching DOGMATA tiring, was up in the last stride. DOGMATA assumed command when ready, was nursed along under stout restraint, becan tiring when reaching the stretch and just failed to hold on long enough. LADY HOCKBERGER was prominent all the way, but tired in the last quarter mile. COMING BACK, taken up repeatedly and in close quarters leaving the back stretch, was never able to reach the leaders. COUNT TETRARCH followed the pace under reserve for the first three-quarters, wore down RUNNING HEEL for the lead when reaching the stretch and drew clear through the last eighth under pressure. RUNNING HEEL displayed speed from the start and, while unable to cope with the bid of the winner, fought it out in couraeeous iashion to the end. EDDIE WRACK, a forward factor all the way, held on gamely to the end. WOULD DARE moved up threateningly when reaching the stretch, but was unable to reach the leaders. HOOSIERS PRIDE made up ground in the last quarter and stumbled after passing the finish, unseating his rider. TIGHT WAD was outrun. MISS GINBAR tired after showing early speed.
