MEETING DRAWS BEST STABLES Greentree, Belair Stud, Vanderbilt and Calumet Farm Stable Engage Stalls at Rockingham. SALEM, N. H., May 14.— The elite of American turfdom will be represented at the spring meeting of the New Hampshire Jockey Club here at Rockingham Park, May 25 to June 13. Heading the list of important figures of the turf that will race their stables at the local track are Mrs. Harry Payne Whitneys Greentree Stable, William Woodwards Belair Stud, John Hay Whitney, Alfred G. Vanderbilt, Warren Wrights Calumet Farm, C. V. Whitney, Max Hirsch, Hal Price Head-ley and Mrs. Henry C. Phipps Wheatley Stable. Youthful A. G. Vanderbilt, whose stable of thoroughbreds led the list of money winning owners in 1935, through his trainer, Bud Stotler, has applied for thirty stalls The Vanderbilt shipment is due here the end of the week. Identify, Man o War — Footprint colt, will sport the cerise and white racing silks of Vanderbilt in the Speed Handicap, opening day feature of the spring session. John Hay Whitneys Singing Wood, surprise winner of the Toboggan Handicap, opening day feature at Belmont Park Monday, will head a shipment of fifteen thoroughbreds that the international sportsman will campaign here. Singing Wood in winning the Toboggan Handicap showed that he is going to be a contender for 1936 handicap honors. The Royal Minstrel offspring beat a stellar field in the Belmont sprint, including G. D. Wideners Sation, Hay Price Headleys Whopper, and John F. Clarks Clang. By Saturday the thoroughbreds of C. V. Whitney, J. H. Whitney, Greentree Stable and Alfred G. Vanderbilt, along with hundreds of others, will be on the grounds preparing for the opening of the New Hampshire Jockey Clubs spring meeting, which is less than two weeks away, Monday, May 25, to be exact. *
