NEW NORTHAMPTON DATES — ■-■■ i Akron, Ohio, Track to Open June 13 and Meeting Will Continue to Saturday, June 27. COLUMBUS, Ohio, May 20.— Reservations already made for the spring meeting at Northampton Park, Akron, assure a plen-1 tiful supply of horses for the thirteen days j of racing over that course. The meeting will open on Saturday, June 13, and continue through Saturday, June 27. Of the 650 horses now registered for rac- I ing at Beulah Park a large portion will go to Northampton. Others will be shipped to the Akron track from Aurora. Assignment of stalls for Northampton is being made by Emmett A. Hileman, racing secretary at Beulah Park, who will act in the same capacity at the Akron course. William Dangman will be presiding steward at Northampton as at Beulah Park and William Daly will act as starter. The re- ! mainder of the officials largely will be those in charge of racing at Beulah Park. Originally the meeting was scheduled to get under way on Monday, June 8, but the five days have been dropped from the session to permit finishing touches to be put J on the highway that is adjacent to the I course. It is being repaved from Akron to : Cleveland. Northampton will open the racing season ! for the Cleveland district. It will be the second meeting of the year in Ohio.
