1 ] , DIXIANA STABLE AT LATONIA Thirty-Two Head to Be Quartered at; Covington Course for Meeting Beginning Saturday. LATONIA, Ky., May 20.— For the first time in several years the strong Dixiana stable of Charles T. Fisher will make its headquarters at Latonia during the thirty-seven days of its meeting. Heretofore head trainer Clyde Van Dusen split the Dixiana forces and sent only a division of the string to Latonia in care of B. F. Sheffel, but this summer he has made reservations at the Milldale course for thirty-two head, including some of the fleetest two-year-olds in the West. Among the likely juveniles in the Dixiana menage are Crows Flight, Foolish Moment, Shootin High, Sweepalot, Woof and Tartarus. The other youngsters in the stable are Polly Hastings, Lady Sora, Regality, Tootsie Cake, Offender, Dressy, High Explosive, Telemachus, Good Catch, Golden Tower, Matas Brother, Lee Hastings, Rafter, Hi . Cotner and Manager Mike. Heading the list of older horses which Van Dusen will campaign at Latonia is Erin Torch, Dixianas reliance in the 5,000 added Latonia Derby to be run next Saturday. Erin Torch was nominated for the Kentucky Derby, but was not sent to the post because his connections felt he was not up to such a test at that time. He has trained well since, however, and is regarded a certain starter in Latonias opening day-classic, f The other older horses in the Dixiana string are Brendard, First Class, Highland Lane, Icy Wind, Leading Article, Miss Prudence, Rollin Home, Thatagal and Emvee. Charles Stevenson, who led the American riding list last year and whose contract was purchased by Dixiana, will do the stables saddle work during the Latonia meeting. Stevenson was one of the leading riders during the Churchill Downs season just closed.
