| DETROIT TURF NOTES I • ® Sir Jim James, Capt. Byam, Grey Gold, Court, Belleek, Bally Lee and Blond Reel arrived from Narragansett. They are the property of E. W. Duffy, Detroit sportsman. Jack S. Young, steward representing the Michigan racing commission, arrived from Kentucky. After a conference with Joseph Frost, Michigans one-man racing commission, he announced that saliva tests would be taken of all winners and any suspicious horse. H. Trotsek unloaded Zsar, Ulrica, Top Tax, Wahco, Sosophine, Mapus, Takeme, Baste, Dower, Jadva and Tamarax. They are the property of O. F. Woodward and came from Churchill Downs. F. L. Talley, who had a toe on his left foot amputated, came out of the operation nicely and his condition is reported as improved. Jockey R. Wholey checked in from Churchill Downs and reported to R. Mcll-vain, and R. Fischer, who will do the major riding for the Mayfield Stable, arrived from Aurora.
