TRAJECTORY, hustled into a forward position, swung to the outside when moving into the lead at the final eighth post, was kept under strong urging and held CHIPS safe. CHIPS outbroke her field, followed close to the pace when unable to hold the lead and was easily best of the others. SNOBBY SCAMP finished with good courage after losing ground. AIR KING was making up ground steadily nearing the close. NOBLE SPIRIT closed gamely. CALICO MISS was used up racing with SANDY MACK. The others were outrun. DIXIE DORA, outrun for the first half mile, slipped through on the inside entering the stretch, then closed fast and was up in the last few strides. ZOWIE, blocked badly when attempting to drive through on the inside at the turn out of the back stretch, recovered and closed with a bold rush on the outside. CANIA took command midway of the turn, opened up a clear lead when straightened into the stretch, but tired in the closing eighth. BIG MARCH met with interference during the stretch run when taken to the inside. DREAM KISS showed a good effort. SWIFTLET broke slowly and was never a factor. CREME DE MENTHE quit badly. IRISH ENVOY, reserved off the pace for the first mile, moved up strongly for the last turn of the field, engaged the leaders coming to the final fence, then drew out on the flat after displacing SOPHRON. The latter had much speed from the start, was overhauled between the fourth and fifth jumps, came again to take the lead, but could not withstand the winner. JACKIE showed much improvement and was a strong factor all the way. GRAINGER fenced poorly and was done after going a mile. Scratched 26424Buck and Wing, 150. Overweight Jackie, 1 pound. PITCHBLENDE moved into a short lead soon after the start, raced CUP WINNER into submission in the first five-eighths, shook off a bold effort from EILEEN O. and held ROYAL VINTAGE safe under strong urging. ROYAL VINTAGE, on the inside while holding a forward position, rallied to punishment in the last three-sixteenths and finished gamely when coming through between his field nearing the end. EILEEN O. made a strong bid when straightened into the stretch and continued stoutly until the finish. DOER finished full of run. CUP WINNER was used up racing with PITCHBLENDE and tired. MADFAST, steadied back of the leaders for the first three-quarters, moved up stoutly midway of the final turn, disposed of "the leaders when straightened into the stretch and held GAY SYMPATHY safe at the end. GAY SYMPATHY dropped back in the early running, circled her field when reaching her company and finished with good energy. ROSEPATH had a lot taken out of her racing MINTHERA into submission and tired when collared. MINTHERA forced a steady pace for seven-eighths, then tired. SHOELESS JOE had nice speed from the start, took a short lead midway of. the turn, but failed to stay when the real test came. HASTINOLA was hard ridden all the way and showed a good performance. GROG was under strong urging in the last five-sixteenths, but failed to reach the leaders. CHRYSMUTE had no excuses. Scratched 14530 Trey, 103. Overweight Chrysmute, 1 pound. CUPBOARD fell back slowly when straightened in the back stretch, was placed to punishment and finished gamely. VIRADO saved ground and had no excuses.
