T LATONIA TURF NOTES t e Jockey Martin Fallon, who was not seriously injured when For Romance fell with him Thursday, reported a bit stiff Friday morning and was permitted to cancel his mounts. He will resume riding Saturday. Lee Niles arrived from Louisville with three horses he will campaign through this meeting. Busy Girl and Ariel Gold are two-year-olds, while Hio is a three-year-old. J ockey Joe Cowley accepted his first mount of the meeting Friday. He is under engagement to F. P. Letellier, his book being handled by John McQuaid. At private terms J. B. Respess sold the two-year-old Hilfair to W. W. Stone. The youngster, a filly by Hildur and Busy Fairy, performed in his new owners colors Friday afternoon. Scratch time Saturday, Decoration Day, has been moved up thirty minutes to 8:30 oclock. This will be in effect only the one day. - A. Fermin is coming here Saturday from Chicago to ride the Old Gold Stables Transmutable in the Quickstep Handicap. The horse shipped here without accident, trainer Otto Bagley being on hand to supervise the unloading of the horse.
