I DETROIT TURF NOTES $ : J Joe Deyer arrived from Beulah Park with Miss Aline and Vigrose. They are the property of A. Minder. Jockey Earl Porter has been engaged to ride one of the Bomar Stable two-year-olds in the renewal of the St. Clair Stakes. Alexander Queen, a native of Detroit and under contract to J. S. Jones, had his initial mount on Divide in the second race Thursday. Due to him being unable to make the weight on Grand Rock in the Colonel Alger Memorial Handicap, jockey Earl Porter gave up his engagement and will ride Marynell for the Long Run Stable. J. M. Reed checked in from Ohio with Dependent and Fern Memoriam. They are the property of Dr. H. C. Eldredge. The horses J. Salinski brought here are Pillnita, Cavelro and Delgado. J. P. McGovern, whose Dignified, Merely and Bonynge have been here for several weeks, arrived from California. Dr. E. E. Watson brought Doc Oster Honky Tonk, Miss Twinkling and Admiral Dean here from Beulah Park. J. Shirley Riley, whose horses are here in charge of Jack Webber, arrived in his pri-Ivate plane from his home at Roanoke, Va.
