MISS SCOTT was sent up fast on the outside going to the turn, slipped through on the inside when approaching the stretch, gained a short lead and, continuing stoutly, outstayed TOE DANCE. The latter was rushed into the lead early, stalled off keen contention from BAD BUDDY and held on with good courage in the final issue. BAD BUDDY forced a fast pace, made repeated efforts and held on courageously. BRIZETTE was hard ridden all the wav, but could not menace. BELLE FULLER finished with good energy. MERIDIAN QUEEN was held safe. RIVEN SCEPTRE closed a good gap while racing wide. FANNY was outrun. TOP SHOT displayed carlv speed. PATSY MACAW quit badly in the late stages. BUD ROYAL, a keen factor from the beginning, rallied strongly to displace ARMY GAME when straightened into the stretch, was kept under severe punishment and had enough in reserve to withstand BARTER. The latter, forced to work his way up on the outside, entered contention at the stretch turn and closed stoutly thereafter. ARMY GAME rrcd into a short lead under stout pressure, saved ground all the way and held on gamely in the final test. GENTLE KNIGHT suffered interference in the early racing, swung to the outside to find racing room in the last quarter mile and finished with a rush. BUBBLING OUT closed gamely. ARBRANCH raced evenly. EILEEN O. raced well for five-eighths. HANOVER JEAN quit. EXHIBITION broke down and was pulled up after a quarter mile. BIG DOLLAR lost his rider at the start. PAGAN KING took command shortly after the start, raced under restraint until reaching the stretch, shook off early opposition and held ALDWYCH safe, winning well in hand. ALDWYCH, squeezed back in the opening eighth, swung to the outside for racing room and closed stoutly in the final drive. WORTH TRYING was hard ridden all the way and held on willingly in the closing test. FESTIVE BOARD was taken to the outside for the start, raced close up early, but tired under punishment during the stretch drive. GOANWIN was shuffled back soon after the start and could not threaten thereafter. AULD REEKIE raced greenly. LINGSTER, a keen contender from the beginning, challenged strongly entering the stretch and, closing determinedly, was up in the last few strides. SANTA ROLO began quickly and set a fast pace, saved ground all the way and fought it out stubbornly under a vigorous ride. ALLONS raced in the first flight all the way and was gaining" fast at the end. BLACK COHORT, forced to better his position on the outside, rallied to punishment and closed full of run on the outside. JESMORE was close up for the first half mile and tired, when caught in tight quarters during the stretch drive. GIGGLING GIRL could not make up any I ground. QUEENS COLOR was shuffled back soon after the start. QUADRANGLE raced wide while making up a lot of ground. SMOKE MAID stood flatfootcd when the break came. SYENITE was steadied in front until challenged, lost considerable ground entering the stretch and came again under severe punishment, then pulled up very lame. TOLIMATA improved her position steadily and was going stoutly at the end. BUCK PRIVATE finished strongly between horses right at the close. HARDY BAN was going stoutly ncaring the finish. PARADISE MAID tired. GRAND UNION had no mishaps. FIELD GOAL was away poorly. RONDELIER, nicely handled, was kept off the pace until in full stride, worked his way to the leaders steadily to take command entering the home stretch, then under a vigorous drive outstayed ROCHE DOR. The latter, going in his best form, improved his position on the outside and was wearing the winner down gradually at the close. FRIGID FROSTY, permitted to drop out of contention at the first turn, worked his way up steadily and closed with good courage. RURAL SHOWER finished strongly. MISS GORMLEY went well placed, but failed to rally when shaken up. CHASTE MORN was unable to menace. LANGSTAFFE was done after three-quarters. EILEEN D. quit badly whrn caught. TROUBANOVA, cased back going to the first turn, swung to the outside when improving her position and closed a big gap. LOCARO obtained racing room on the inside, after beginning slowly and came well when in full stride. HOT SPRING finished with a belated rush. DARK DIANNE moved up threateningly at the final turn, but flattened out badly, during the stretch drive. VISIONARY HOUR quit. COME SEVEN raced well for three-quarters.
