GAUL, going in its best form and a strong factor from the start, swerved to the inside when taking the lead, but tired rapidly in the last eighth. BROADWAY GIRL, forced to lose ground throughout, held on well. LITTLE WICHITA sprinted into a good lead early, but quit badly. DON GRAFTON had no mishaps. ONAN, fractious at the start, raced fast in the opening eighth, then failed to extend herself thereafter and showed little. HILDUR QUEEN quit. MATE TEA, a strong factor from the start, forged to the front nearing the final quarter, was unable to draw clear, swung wide entering the stretch, came fast when straightened, but tired near the end. PELORIA worked her way forward steadily and fin-ished well. PRINCESS PYRE, on the outside and used up in the pace, tired in the final eighth. WHIZZ JAMES quit. LITTLE PEGGY raced evenly. THE QUEEN, much the best and away in a tangle, moved up fast when clear, was sent to the outside for the drive, took command under good urging and won easily. MOLECULE,- a strong factor from the start, swerved slightly entering the stretch, responded fast when straightened and closed with a rush. MISS BONNIE forced the pace under good handling, moved into the lead in the final eighth, but tired rapidly in the last stages. ACCRUE took command at once, drew away after an eighth, but tired rapidly in the drive. SWEET DESIRE, unprepared at the start, raced very greenly, but closed boldly. VIRGINIA J. quit. JOHN BANE, unable to improve his early position, was sent to the outside entering the stretch and finished strongest. GLADESS held on in fine style. BONYNGE tired. LADINO made up ground.
