Johnny Longden, popular jockey, set the pace for. the riding: colony during the first two weeks of the New Hampshire Jockey Club meeting:, guiding a total of seventeen winners. He has eleven seconds and four thirds. His nearest rival is the apprentice R. Hightshoe, who has ten wins, six seconds and eleven thirds.
