TEXAS DERBY RESERVATIONS ARLINGTON, Texas, April 8 Arlington Downs patrons are already making their reservations for Derby Day at the Waggoner plant. The 5,000 Texas Derby, richest turf prize in the South during spring racing, and which has attracted a representative band of three-year-olds, will be run off over nine furlongs, Saturday, April 17, three weeks in advance of the Kentucky Derby, and many three-year-old hopefuls which have been named for both events will use the Texas classic as a prep for the Blue Grass feature.
