PRETTY BUSY, rated forwardly in the early running, came through on the inside of the pacemaker when reaching the stretch, closed determinedly under punishment and was up in the last sixteenth. GOLD CLIP displayed good speed to move clear early, was permitted to lose ground coming into the stretch and tired under strong urging. GOLDEN KEY bettered his position on the outside and finished with good courage. BARN STORMER, well placed early, made a weak move at the final turn, then tired. PADDYS SISTER went evenly throughout. REIGH TETRARCH could not reach contention. WHITE SWEETS showed a flash of early speed, then retired fast. The others were never factors. LITTLE ARGO, under light reserve in the early stages while going along closest to the pacemaker, responded rapidly when shaken up, wore down PRINCE TURLEY when straightened into the stretch and held on strongly to stall off CRUISING. The latter, forced to race on the outside, challenged strongly approaching the stretch but was unable to gain during the final drive. PATCHPOCKET was hard ridden to keep within striking distance of the leaders, then closed gamely under punishment. DISTRACT saved ground all the way and raced evenly. PRINCE TURLEY displayed high speed to open up a long lead, but tired fast in the last quarter mile. MISS EPE-and BRIGHT EMERALD were outrun. THIRD RACE 3-4 MILE Out of Chute. The latter had much speed while being rated along for a half mile, opened up a long lead at the stretch turn when shaken up, but was no match for the winner when put to a drive. CR1US raced strongly for five-eighths, then tired gradually. AGLOW showed a good effort for five-eighths, then tired. TULEYRIES LAD was never a dangerous factor. GAY JACK had no excuses. HELEN BAB stole through on the inside when reaching the stretch and closed determinedly. CON-TI.NUITY bettered his position on the outside until gaining a forward position, but tired during the final drive. EXAGGERATION dropped back and came again.
