STEPHENS loomed up dangerously after entering the stretch and then tired. HAT CHECK was in close quarters several times while racing on the inside and lost all chances in the stretch. COLONEL ED had early speed and went fairly well to the end. MARV made up much rround. KENTUCKY BLUES was forced to race wide while keeping up with the pace and tired in the stretch. BAY SISTER, taken to the rail in the early racing, moved up gamely approaching the stretch turn, but was in close quarters next to the rail after entering the stretch and, forced to take up and to the outside, finished well. BELLES LAST had the most early speed, but tired in the stretch. MERELY was never a dangerous contender and showed a weak effort. POCO DIABLO and BLACK VAN tired.
