ERRATIC LIBERTY SCOUT WINS 1 Unseats Robertson Twice During Parade to Post and Runs Away. Three Ds Youngster Comes Back to Shatter Arlington Downs Track Mark Lightly Regarded Cautivo Takes Place. ARLINGTON, Texas, April 15. Despite unseating jockey Alfred Robertson twice during the parade to the post and running away for about five furlongs, Liberty Scout, highly regarded son of Liberty Limited and Good Scout, from the Three Ds Stock Farm stable of E. Paul and Guy L. Waggoner, was an easy winner of the Glad Acres Purse, fourth event and the first of three sparkling attractions offered before a large crowd at Arlington Downs this afternoon. Running the four and a half furlongs in :54, which clipped three-fifths of a second from the track mark. Liberty Scout, coupled with Liberty Flight, which finished fourth, reached the finish well in hand and a length before King Ranchs improved and lightly regarded Cautivo. Born Black, furnished by Fred Turner, Jr., was third, two and one-half lengths back of Cautivo and a half length before Liberty Flight, which beat Mad Shirley by the same margin for fourth laurels. UNRULY AT POST. There wa3 a loud cry from the fans who made the entry a 1-2 choice when both the winner and Liberty Flight unseated their riders soon after reaching the track and, while Liberty Flight was settled down, Liberty Scout again became unruly after reaching the back stretch and dashed back to the stands. After being chased by the outrider and another rider who joined in, the colt came back to his field and he was coralled by several of the jockeys in the race. There was little delay when the field was aligned and, although Born Black was the first in motion, he was shuffled back when Cautivo went into the lead rounding the far turn. Liberty Flight was right after him and Liberty Scout was sent between the leaders to reach second place nearing the final quarter. During the run for home, Liberty Scout wore Cautivo down and after drawing clear, Robertson took a firm hold of him. Born Black, got up in the last stages to defeat Liberty Flight for minor honors and Mad Shirley always was the best of the others. Real summer weather prevailed for the sport and favorites again had a big day. The racing strip was at Its best MAYSTICK AT BEST. Henry Aliens Maystick returned to his best form when he accounted for the Marine Park Claiming Purse, that served as the fifth race. Miss Webb was second and Chinese Empress third. Money Getter, a heavily supported choice, finished fourth after displaying soreness during the parade to the post. Little Coed made good at her first asking when she was a handy winner of the first race, which attracted ten plater three-year-old fillies at six furlongs. Springs Here was second and Erb, which enjoyed favoritism over the winner, was third. Improving .her position on the inside while Springs Here was enjoying a good lead, the winner, which was ridden by W. L. Johnson was guided through the field in the stretch and, forging to the front in the final sixteenth, came to the finish a length before Springs Here, which enjoyed the same advantage over Erb, which held third position throughout. Wanda Gable, the third choice, raced wide and showed little and with the exception of Margaret Nadi, which quit rapidly after a half mile, the others were never prominent. A mild surprise occurred In the second race "when R. O. Higdons Think Fast was an easy winner. Old State was second and" Rough Creek third. Overlap, a heavily supported choice, finished fourth. Racing Jack o Spades into defeat after three furlongs, Think Fast, which had the services of S. Roberts, rapidly established a good advantage and the finish found him two lengths before Old State, which led the tiring Rough Creek by a length for second. Another favorite was successful when Jobioso led Rich Girl, Westys Duke, a fielder, and nine other lowly platers to the end of a mile and a sixteenth in the third. Shuffled back at the lower turn and forced to improve his position on the outside, Jobioso, ridden by Henry Hauer, forged to the front approaching the final turn and after drawing clear he reached the end a length before Rich Girl, which too, was forced to improve her position on the outside of the field. Westys Duke and Comradeship came from far back to reach the finish a neck apart and a length before Finmar, which tired after forcing the pace to the stretch.
