I JAMAICA TURF NOTES 6 An invitation to attend the Kentucky Derby was extended to all Kentucky Colonels, according to an announcement Wednesday by Anna Friedman, secretary of the Colonels, who was present at the Jamaica opening. Governor Chandlers invitation was in the most cordial terms because of the contribution made by the Kentucky Colonels for flood relief. Friedman is one of the few women Colonels. The next general of the Colonels is expected to be appointed by Governor Chandler at the annual dinner scheduled for the. Kentucky Hotel, Louisville, during Derby week. The foul claimed by Nick Wall, who finished second with Papa Jack in the second race, was disallowed by the stewards on the grounds that the objection did not coincide with the report of the patrol judges or the observations of the stewards. Wall claimed a foul against jockey Wayne Wright, who rode the winner, Ed. Sullivan. Wall stated that Wright rode him close at the three furlongs post, causing him to take up and go around. A hurried examination of jockey C. Han-ford, who fell with Historic Era in the first race, revealed a possible fracture of the left forearm. He was removed to Mary Immaculate Hospital, Jamaica, for X-ray observa- Dr. E. P. Kilroe, president of the Metropolitan Jockey Club, was Injured in an automobile accident on. the way to the track.
