Won driving; second and third the same. ED. SULLIVAN broke fast and bore over slightly, drew away into a brief lead, responded gamely to urging in the final eighth and outlasted PAPA JACK in the final drive. The latter, clear of early interference, moved with determination rounding the stretch turn and was bothered slightly when the winner bore out near the end. CANT WAIT moved up fast on the outside, lost ground rounding the far turn and finished well. FLYING ARIEL overcame early interference and finished well. HOMBURG raced greenly but closed some ground. SIZZLING L. was in close quarters after the start. DOWN EAST went wide at the stretch turn. STEPHEN JAY faltered under urging. ARCH FIEND overcame early interference and ran out entering the stretch. ALARMING was caught in a jam after the start, was knocked sideways and was pulled up. HISTORIC. ERA was knocked down after the start. SECOND RACE 3-4 MILE. King Saxon, April 20, 1935 1:10 4 118. NAUTCH forced the pace from the start and showed good speed, raced EPICAL into defeat rounding the stretch turn, responded to severe pressure in the final eighth and outlasted ABNER in the final drive. The latter was shuffled back ncaring the far turn, came to the outside and improved his position steadily and finished with determination. EPICAL showed early speed on the outside of the leader, came again in the stretch and finished well. GREAT HASTE was outrun in the early stages, but improved his position on the inside and was going strongly at the end. SEAMYTH was outrun and appeared short. ELYLEE could not menace the leaders and was not unduly persevered with at the ned. MAMAS CHOICE was pulled up after going a half mile. Overweight Nautch, 1 pound. THIRD RACE S-i MILE. CARDINALIS, in near pursuit of the pace from the start, moved up with determination in the stretch and then faltered. SCROOGE showed a good effort after racing forwardly all the way. SCINTILLATOR began slowly, but improved his position on the inside and finished well. MAHDI dropped back steadily through the stretch run. PHLOX began slowly from a poor start. POMPOON was In close quarters in the early running, but forced his way through, came to the outside of TINTAGEL entering the stretch, responded to urging and was drawing, away in the final drive. T1N-TAGEL showed high early speed while saving ground, was placed under pressure in the stretch run, responded gamely and held on well to the end. FRAIDY CAT was a forward factor from the start, but hung in the final drive. POSTAGE DUE improved his position under urging and closed with determination. SNARK, on the outside throuehout, was outrun in the early stages, but finished well. SGT. BYRNE was in close quarters in the early running and had no mishaps. EMILEO was outrun in the early stages and could not menace the leaders at the end. BILL FARNSWORTH was outrun and could not bother the leaders. GALLOPING broke well and outran her field to the first turn, was rated along steadily, but was bearing out nearinc the stretch turn. PRE WAR was outrun the first part and made up ground steadily under urging. BOUNDING COUNT began slowly and could not make up ground. THISWAY had no excuses. WILEY B.
