IMPROVED BAHR GATES LOUISVILLE, Ky., April 15. New improved Bahr starting gates will be used for the first time with the start of the Churchill Downs meeting on May 1. The gates will be shipped from the Bahr plant in Chicago so as to reach the local track about April 20. One of the starting devices will be used in sending the Kentucky Derby field into action.
