t JAMAICA TURF NOTES s and Jockey Wayne Wright will ride Only One, owned by Airs. Deering Howe, in the Jamaica Handicap Saturday. J. L. Donovan shipped a division of the W. H. Gallagher stable to Narragansett Park. Jockey J. Earba left for Narragansett Park with the Gallagher stable. Harry Clark, an exercise boy in the employ of, the Brookmeade Stable, died at the Mary Immaculate Hospital, Monday, of pneumonia. Funeral services will be held from his Bronx home Wednesday. George Odom has taken a call on the services of W. Wright to ride Charing Cross in the Wood Memorial. Jack Campbell stated that he has no outstanding preference for the Derby but would like to see Pompoon first, for it may help to straighten out trainer "Humpy" Dan Clarke. A division of Mrs. Ethel Jacobs stable was shipped to Narragansett for that meeting, opening Saturday. Nat Vogel, for the past twenty years associated with Tom Shaw in the clubhouse, died suddenly at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Howard McGurdy, Laurelton, L. I. Vogel was 69 years of age and had been associated with racing for fifty years. Funeral services will be announced later. Trainer T. J. Healey is expected the latter part of the week from Keeneland with the C. V. Whitney horses he raced at that point Billy Kelly arrived from Havre de Grace and will remain a few days as a guest of Roy Waldron before returning to Pimlico. Tom Thorp left for Narragansett Park where he will serve as steward at the meeting. Al Burlen, clerk of the scales, inaugurated a new department in his report book. He is recording all the claims of foul made by riders against placed horses. Heretofore, he confined himself to reporting claims allowed only. Walter Carter was offered the services of jockey Wayne Wright in the Wood Memorial to ride his Clodion. Carter wired to Jack Westrope and awaited an answer from that rider before assigning the" mount to the J. E. Widener contract rider. Seventeen foals arrived at Brookmeade Farm, near Upperville, Va. Eleven of them, are colts. The youngsters are by High Quest Flagpole, Pompey and Blue Larkspur. The horses owned by Mrs. P. A. Shaw will be shipped from here to Narragansett
