VOLUNTEER SERVICES PAWTUCKET, R. I., April 28. News of Walter OHaras plan to encourage, instruct and develop apprentice riders during the 1937 season at Narragansett Park has traveled far and wide. From New York presiding steward Tom Thorp telegraphed requesting permission to aid in the evening lecture classes; from Texas jockey Tom Luther has volunteered his services and many veteran riders already on the ground at Narragansett have promised to help in the new undertaking. . ; ;
