SEABISCUIT TANFORAN LEADER Winner of Marchbank Handicap Carries Off Prize of ,200. Mrs. C. S. Howard Leads Money-Winning Owners With 1,625 Earl Beezley Saddles Eleven Winners. Mrs. C. S. Howard and her brilliant performer, Seabiscuit, had no trouble taking the money-winning honors in their respective divisions at Tanforan, Seabiscuit scoring in the rich Marchbank Handicap to earn ,200. With the fruits of the victories of four of her other campaigners, Mrs. Howard had total winnings of 1,625 for the twenty-five day meeting, while Seabiscuit, starting only in the Marchbank, won ,200. Tanforans meeting began on March 13 and ended April 17. Thirty-four per cent of the public choices won. The total distribution of the jockey club was 75,600, a daily average of ,024. Jockey A.
