DETROITS CHARITY DAY DETROIT, Mich., April 28. The Detroit Racing Association will stage a charity day on May 28, the Friday preceding the regular opening on May 29. The entire net proceeds will be turned over to the Horsemens Relief Society. All officials are donating their services and the state has waived the daily license fee. The Horsemens Relief Fund is being administered by Mrs. Fred T. Murphy, Charles T. Fisher, Louis J. Lepper, Joseph D. Frost and Clarence E. Lehr. The first Detroit books carry the conditions for the charity day card of races.
