I OMAHA TURF NOTES S With more than 100 horses already stabled on the grounds, the Ak-Sar-Ben race track is beginning to be a busy place, as preparations gather momentum for the opening of the spring meeting on Saturday, May 28. Superintendent James R. Palmer, who raced at New Orleans last winter, has five head here getting into condition. They are His Girl, Saucy Maid, Zirl, Bonnie San and Rustilite. M. H. Van Berg, the Columbus, Neb., horseman, brought up from Hot Springs the following which are now working out daily: Tetrashera, Kansascitian, Flaghorn, Bud Smith, Keen Gloaming, Matosha and Sho-shonie Chief. Charles Tanner is the trainer for Mr. Van Eerg.
