! BAY MEADOWS NOTES s j Ben Holmes, steward and racing secretary at Agua Caliente, was a visitor and will remain for a couple of days. Holmes will serve as presiding steward and racing secretary at the coming meeting at Ak-Sar-Ben Field, Omaha. Jockey H. Duncan was suspended for the remainder of the meeting for rough riding in the first race Tuesday. Jockey Vere Thompson retired from the Bay Meadows riders race voluntarily Monday when he announced that he would take a prolonged rest. Thompson has not been going so well at the meeting.
