EDDIE SHORE GETS AWARD MONTREAL, Que., April 20. President Frank Calder of the National Hockey League has announced that Eddie Shore, defense man for the Boston Bruins, has been awarded the Dr. David A. Hart trophy for being the most valuable player to his club during the season just closed. Gordon Drillon, wing man for the Toronto Maple Leafs, won the Lady Byng trophy, given to the player who Ibest combines effectiveness with clean play.
