1 JAMAICA TURF NOTES $ ; i Mask and Wig, owned by G. D. Widener, arrived from Havre de Grace and is atNBel-mont Park. Henry McDaniel arrived from Miami and said that he will remain on the inactive list for another two weeks before getting back into harness. He will take over several horses at that time to train. Terry Farley reported that S. Rossi, under contract to W. J. Ziegler, and Lee Hardy j were granted licenses. Jockey F. Kelly arrived from Maryland and will ride during this meeting. R. A. "Bob" Smith arrived from Miami and reported that he shipped the horses that he raced there during the season, to his farm in Newark, Del., to be freshened up for a late summer campaign. Dick Merrill, trans-Atlantic flyer, was among the clubhouse guests during the afternoon. Jockey Eddie Arcaro has received several offers to ride in the Kentucky Derby. Lbn Johnson arrived at Jamaica with several horses, which he will race for P. T. Chinn.
