LADY CONFUCIUS followed the pace under restraint, took command when called upon and held BUTTER BEANS safe to win easily. BUTTER BEANS bettered her position very slowly after three eighths, closed resolutely under strong riding in the final quarter, but did not endanger the winner. VICTORY MISS* showed the most speed under hustling tactics and began to tire after reachine the final quarter. REAL ONE had no excuses. MISS FIREFLY raced wide. WHIPSTITCH showed a poor effort. MAMA LULA began to move up, but only slowly, when rating wide on the second turn, continued on the outside when coming with a rush in the stretch and won drawing out. ENTREE was under punishment after five eighths, appeared through midway of the stretch, but came again. ASSIST, rated in hand for almost three quarters, opened up a commanding lead when called upon, but faltered badly in the final eighth CHALK EYE tired when placed to a drive. FRANK ORMONT tired after moving up when entering the stretch. BLAZING SUN, fractious at the post, showed mild eaily speed. SPANISH ART also delayed the start. Overweight— Entree, 3 pounds.
