,500 HANDICAP AT BOSTON Constitution Handicap Draws Best Three-Year-Olds in New England — Denemarks Name Entry. BOSTON, Mass., May 27.— Ten horses have accepted overnight for tomorrows Constitution Handicap, ,500 added feature for three-year-olds, which will serve as an important test for the 5,000 Yankee Stakes at Suffolk Downs later in the season. The race is at a mile and has drawn the best three-year-olds on the grounds. Thanksgiving, shipped from New York by Mrs. Parker Corning, has the best record of any of the entrants and, under 114 pounds, looms up as the probable choice in an open race. Thanksgiving was a bang-up second to such a campaigner as Menow in the Withers mile a short while back, and that race along should earn him the post of favoritism. Battle Jack will be the starting high weight under 119 and is certain to be heavily supported. He will be coupled in the betting under J. W. Y. Martins banner with Slow Motion. The latter also has a good Record and is pronounced a fit horse. He will carry a pound less than his stablemate. Mrs. Emil Denemark, whose horses have enjoyed excellent fortune at this point, will also send an entry after Thanksgiving in Blind Eagle and Dorothy Rock. The former is rated one of the best three-year-olds in the New England sector and is not badly weighted under 114. Dorothy Rock is an extremely fast filly in her own right and it is probable that she will attempt to make the pace tomorrow afternoon. Paragon Stables has no weak candidate for honors in Deep End, a game winner here yesterday at six furlongs. Sam Lewin, one of the proprietors of this establishment, is confident that the horse will give a good account of himself. In fact, he and George Alexandra of Medway, who has Upslala in the Constitution, have made a horse-to-horse side bet on the race. Deep End and Upslala are both light weights, under 106 and 104, respectively. The track was muddy and there was a threat of more rain as todays sport got under way. However, weather doesnt seem to keep them away from the race track in this section of the woods and the handle may again soar close to 00,000.
