ASCOT PARK MEETING TO BE INAUGURATED TODAY ASCOT PARK, Ohio, May 27.— When the newly organized Ascot Park Jockey Club throws open their gates for the opening of their inaugural meeting here tomorrow, turf patrons of this vicinity have a real treat in store for them. The plant, which boasts of the only six-furlong course in the central states, has been entirely revamped with j many outstanding improvements. 1 Among the innovations, a stewards stand has been erected on top of the grandstand, the camera eye has been installed to eliminate any possibility of dissatisfaction over the placing in close finishes. A mezzanine has been installed, furnishing extra mutuel and concession accommodations. A bleacher furnishing seating accommodations for over 700 additional persons has been erected and a new odds board, attractively designed and colored, has been placed in the center field. The five and a half furlongs chute, which was responsible for some dangerous spills in the past, has been eliminated. From present indications, the opening days racing here tomorrow will be staged over a fast track and the weather outlook at present is favorable. A card of eight races has been provided with the sixth I event, the Inaugural Handicap serving as the featured offering.
