SPORTSMANS PARK NOTES I s $ William Buck, acting for B. B. Johnson, sold Maxie M. and Loverna to M. M. Wexil, and the horses left for Lexington. In another transaction, Johnson purchased Belton from T. Buckley. Robert Shelley has begun to accept stall applications for the winter meeting in Cuba. He says quite a few stables racing here will be shipped to the island course. J. A. Benedetto sold Phantom Fox and Polariscope to E. E... Chanock. J. C. Mc-Auliffe will continue to train the horses. Before leaving for Lexington, A. G. Woodman, acting for the Le Mar Stock Farm, sold Kingshighway to Hockenbury and Hoffman. H. Hockenbury, who trains the horses for that partnership, said that he is taking up a Juvenile filly by Whichone and another by Jamestown for winter racing in New Orleans. J. Hudson has taken over the training of Anna Grand and Eddie Gardner for C. Goff. J. Goff formerly trained them. Jockey Thomas Haley was injured in a training accident at Sportsmans Park Friday morning, and was removed to the Garfield Park Hospital for treatment and observation. The Narragansett stake blanks arrived here, and were being distributed by Robert S. Shelley. J. P. Ebelhardt returned from Lexington, where he attended the sales. William Westerfield left here last night for River Downs with the Imperial Farms Imperial Sir, Imperial Ronie, Imperial Queen, Imperial Sally and Just Imperial. Before he left he sold Imperial Jean to Lloyd Geving. Jockeys J. Dyer and J. Bowen packed their tack and left for River Downs. Gus Simone transferred the only two horses he has in training, Dora May and Busy Lutrecia to River Downs. Post time for the first race at Sportsmans Park Saturday, will be 1:45 oclock, instead of fifteen minutes later, as has been the case all week. Jockey Don Scurlock was suspended five days by the Sportsmans Park stewards for failing to keep his mount, Circus "Night, straight in the run through the stretch in the third race Friday.
