WORCESTER DRAWS FOURTEEN Rough Time, Mucho Gusto and Wise Prince Among Eligibles. jaL Crack Sprinters to Furnish Entertainment for Narragansett Patrons on Half-Holiday Program. PAWTUCKET, R. I., Oct. 14 Fourteen horses, including several of the countrys sprint stars, have been named overnight for the six furlongs Worcester Handicap, ,000 added event tomorrow, which will be the first of nine stakes in Narragansetts program. The race, open to three-year-olds and up, has drawn such good campaigners as Rough Time, Wise Prince, Natty Boy, Mucho Gusto and Mr. Blaze. It is an extremely open affair, but Rough Time, which races under the jacket of the Marylander, Yancey Christmas, will probably rule a slight choice in the betting. Although Rough Time was third in a race won by He Did, in Maryland, in his last, he is still rated one of the fastest horses in the land. He always has shown a liking for the track at Narragansett, and he has a considerable edge in the weights over the fit and ready Wise Prince. Rough Time will pack 118, while Wise Prince is in at the top of the weights under 126. BIDS FOR FAVORITISM. Wise Prince, which carries the racing silks of Felix Spatola, will be pressing the Marylander close for the post of favoritism, however, his form here has been uniformly excellent, not only at sprint distances, but in handicaps at a distance of ground. He has tremendous speed, has been working well and appears ready for the battle of his life. Hall arid Warrenders Natty Boy was beaten at Rockingham by Wise Prince at . a mile. However, the six furlongs of to- morrows contest will be much more to his liking. He is a very dangerous factor and will be one of the shorter priced entrants in the Worcester. A. Sprows Mucho Gusto, a familiar horse to New Englanders in the days when he raced in the black and white dolled silks of the Araho Stable, has been going great guns in Chicago competition. He was beaten out West by such a campaigner as Esposa, but upon that occasion his jockey lost both stirrup irons in the race. He is in at 119. Mr. Blaze, which began his career in this section and proved one of the outstanding two-year-olds of his year here, is back in good form again, according to recent Chicago performances. UNCERTAIN WEATHER. Rain fell early this morning and the skies were threatening as racing began. If the track is off tomorrow, Mr. Blaze will move up many pounds. His weight is 117. Beach jEnsemble, in under the feather of 102, isan outsider with an excellent chance. She ran a corking race last Wednesday at Rockingham when she finished second to the hard-hitting three-year-old, Napper Tandy, and beat such a lass as Dolly Val. Stage Beauty has plenty of early speed, but there is a lot more speed in the race. She has only 106, but appears out-matched. The others are hard to separate. They are: Chief Nadi, Dunade, Gay Balko, Sun-vsun, Sun Port, Sargazo and Woodsaw. W. H. Shelley, who is subbing for his son, Bob, here at present, has aranged an excellent card to support the handicap.
