REGAL LILY AND NICK WALL Prove Successful Combination in the Annapolis Purse, Feature at Laurel Park on Friday. LAUREL, Md., Oct. 14. Regal Lily, four-year-old Man o War Regal Lady filly, who races for Walter M. Jeffords, achieved her first victory in seven starts this season when she raced in her kindest fashion, under the handling of jockey Nick Wall, to score decisively in the one mile and one-sixteenth of the Annapolis Purse, an allowance dash, fifth on the card, that was the best offering m at Laurel Park today. Meeting opposition from seven others and ruling the choice, the success was one of the most popular of the day, when she spreadeagled her formidable opponents to come from behind and finish three lengths in advance of W. S. Kilmers Sun Alexandria over a track that was drenched by rain early in the morning, but which was just a shade below perfect condition. Third in the main offering went to the Canadian-owned Tempestuous, of the Mrs. T. Stevenson stable, and Mrs. E. Dene-"marks Chasar led the way to Rex Flag, Brown Moth, High Velocity and Bewitched, the only others that met. A good crowd was out for the sport that marked the first half of the autumn session at the Maryland racing grounds, and witnessed interesting racing.
