IDLE WORKER, fractious at the gate but away with the leaders, was rushed into the lead soon after the start, saved ground while setting the pace, shook off the challenge of MISS HARMFUL after five-eighths and steadily increased his advantage. MISS HARMFUL, hard hustled while forcing the early pace, continued gamely under urging, but was not good enough. DUNCE, unable to keep up in the early running, improved position rapidly thereafter and closed strongly. MAGIC LAD raced wide throughout and, but for this loss of ground, might have been closer. ROYAL FOLLY tired after being prominent for a half mile. SUN REE failed to reach the leaders, though strongly urged throughout. Overweight Magic Lad, 12 pounds. Corrected weight Magic Lad, 112. GOODBYE BLUES, well handled and rated off the pace for three-quarters, raced to the leader with a rush thereafter, got through on the inside and, swiftly taking command, won with something in reserve. SWEET MANNERS displayed the most early speed and set a good pace for three-quarters, but was no match for the winner. SKY ORME. slow to begin and outrun for a half mile, improved position on the outside and finished stronglv. DESPERADO, never far out of it and saving ground throughout, faltered in the last stages. BENEFIT, taken under light restraint earlv but never Tar back, came through on the inside under strong handling, then wore down ANCIENT TIMES in the last sixteenth. ANCIENT TIMES, rushed into the lead soon after the start, set the pace under steadying restraint and bore out on the final turn when tiring. STAR BALLOT, badly outrun for a half mile, came through on the inside, made up ground rapidly and finished strongly. HIGH COLOR forced the pace from the start, but tired in the drive. WOODEN SOLDIER, forced to take up sharply when in close quarters during the first sixteenth, was taken to the outside and closed a good gap. CONTRIBUTE made up some ground. MORLEY FIRTII quit. FORCEFUL, going in his best form and saving considerable ground throughout, disposed of HARRYS CHOICE after going a half mile, continued well and gradually increased his advantage in the final quarter. HARRYS CHOICE showed good speed from the start, bore out on the turn, but held on well in the drive. VI SAN, in close quarters soon after the start, raced to the outside thereafter and was well up all the way. PRINCE WESTEND tired when placed t extreme pressure in the late stages. LITTLE MISTAKE, under hard hustling throughout, was unable to keep up. FAIR TURA lacked early speed and made up some ground in the final quarter. INDIANA MAID was through early. TUNBRIDGE, going in lier best form and forced to lose ground during the first half mile when carried wide by DULCIMER, assumed the lead with a rush approaching the far turn and held PRINCE PAD safe in the drive. PRINCE PAD saved ground for five-eighths, came to the outside thereafter and closed strongly. DULCIMER disposed of IMPERIAL JONES in the first three-eighths, but could not hold the advantage. TARTARUS was badly outrun for a half mile and finished well. IMPERIAL JONES, much used getting to the front soon after the start, dropped back after a half mile. SIXTH RACE 6 1-2 FURLONGS. BLOW -AWAY was restrained off the pace, raced to the leaders with a rush on the outside and gained a slight lead, but was unable to retain the advantage. GAY BLADE was hard hustled, set the pace under pressure and tired in. the drive. ODDESA BEAU was prominent all the way. JOHN BANE was unable to keep up. SCHOLAR GIRL lacked early speed, improved position steadily after three-quarters and showed a good effort. SILK. COVERING was much used in the first part and gave way.
