NATIONAL DEBT SOARING WASHINGTON, D. C, Nov. 11. The Treasury Department reports that on Tuesday, November 8, Election Day, the federal debt reached a new high of 8,486,171,134. It rose ,321,430,819 since the beginning of the fiscal year, July 1, and was approximately ,466,000,000 larger than a year ago at the same time.
