SUSPENSION, in close quarters while racing on the inside during the back stretch run, came to the outside when clear to dash to the front rounding the stretch turn and was never in serious danger thereafter. TORQUIL, in close quarters rounding the first turn, continued on the inside to get through an opening on the far turn and took command, but was not good enough to resist the winner. DIGNIFIED finished fast and gamely. GAMELON finished fairly well." PLUCKY JACK raced in four bandages and tired. ROSE CRYSTAL also tired. BONIFIER made a run nearing the far turn, then tired. SKY EMPRESS raced to the front early and, setting a good pace, withstood .a challenge from TONAS to win handily. TONAS lost much ground by making his move on the outside and could not get up, although finishing gamely. BLINDFOLD dropped back when in close quarters after the start and was outrun to the stretch, then closed some ground. RIBALD raced fairly well throughout. RED POWDER had a rough trip, being in close quarters several times while attempting to make his move. DON GRAFTON was badly outrun all the way. Overweight Sky Empress, 1 pound. SEVENTH RACE 1 MILE. Won driving; second and third the same. i WING AND WING came fast after going half the distance to catch SKY GRENADE rounding the stretch turn, then bore out entering the final eighth and was headed by PALA CHIEF on the outside, but was taken to the rail to come again near the end and wore down the latter. PALA CHIEF came very fast on the outside through the stretch and loomed a likely winner a sixteenth out, but could not last. NEDROB was in close quarters approaching the stretch turn and dropped back, but came again and was going well at the finish. CUE BALL showed speed in spots and was going well at the finish. ALLANWOOD broke quickly, but was soon headed and dropped back gradually. SKY GRENADE showed good speed in pace-making, but tired in the last eighth. BONNIE SEA was prominent to the stretch, then tired. CAYENNE was far back all the way. Overweight Cayenne, 1 pound. EIGHTH RACE 1 1-16 MILES. Top Row, Dec. 8, 19341:423109. SKY BREEZE was prominent to the stretch, then tired. EL PORTAL closed much ground. VICTOR raced evenly. XENOGRA was off poorly, but closed much ground. BARBADOES and TOO QUICK quit badly.
