DYKE SHOOTER saved ground in the early stages and, coming fast through the stretch, caught NO RECALL near the end to win in a drive. NO RECALL dropped back a trifle after being headed by SHEER-NESS rounding the far turn, but came again to catch the latter in the stretch and raced well to the finish XENTOR made a stiong move cn the outside nearing the stretch turn, but raced wide on the turn and, although finishing well, could not get up. SHEERNESS experienced some difficulty in getting to the front and, although saving ground in the stretch, tired in the last eighth. BROWN BLARNEY, prominent early,; was in close quarters nearing the stretch tura and dropped back, but came again in the run home. FLYSTAR, never far away, was hustled along through the stretch to challenge BIT O SCOTLAND in determined fashion near the end and won narrowly. BIT O SCOTLAND had speed and, fortunate in getting through on the inside, took a good lead in the stretch to race fairly well to the finish. DRACO lacked early speed and was outrun to the last quarter, then came with a rush in the middle of the track. CHESTNUT BABY showed good speed to the final eighth, then tired. COMPANY tired and probably needed the race. THE LAKE was taken back when in close quarters early. Overweight Bit o Scotland, 4 pounds. THIRD RACE 3-4 MILE Out of Chute. JACK BE NIMBLE, closest to HIGH MARIA in the early part, raced to the front of the latter in the stretch, but tired near the end and was under urging. HIGH MARIA had her customary early speed and displayed more courage than usual when challenged. SANTOURI turned in a fairly good effort. COUNSELLOR FAL was slow 0 get going and closed a gap. BON FUME never threatened seriously and was in rather close quarters in the stretch. OAKHAM tired. SEXTUS began slowly. Won driving; second and third the same. .BON FLY. outrun early, moved up strongly around the outside after entering the stretch and, wearing down KAY EM BEE, won in a drive. KAY EM BEE showed good speed in pacemaking and, after withstanding several challenges from SAHARA CHIEF, raced gamely to the end. CELER DOR was shut off in the stretch. SAHARA CHIEF was caught flatfootcd at the start and was off poorly, then was rushed up to the leaders on the outside in the back stretch, losing much ground and tired after swerving in the stretch. MUCH TROUBLE acted badly at the post, leaped into the air at the start and was never a strong contender. SWEET BETTY showed an exceptionally weak effort, dropping out of it after going a quarter. DANFIELD was forced to race wide and lose ground, but went gamely to the finish. BRASS BOTTLE raced fairly well to the end while saving ground. THISTLE GRACE acted badly at the post and could not keep up with the early leaders. The others were outrun throughout. Overweight Thistle Grace, 1 pound.
