CHARLES TOWN SPEED CAMERA CHARLES TOWN, W. Va., Nov. 14. The West Virginia Racing Commission has approved the appointment of Greg Johnson, of Baltimore, as placing judge for the Charles Town Jockey Clubs fifteen-day meeting beginning December 1. Johnson, who visited Charles Town yesterday, reports that the Thomas High Speed electrical camera has been housed in a booth atop the stewards stand and will photograph all finishes. President-General Manager Al J. Boyle has allotted every one of Charles Towns 700 stalls, with 500 more horses, getting stabling room at the Hagerstown, Maryland, and Berryville, Va., tracks, which are within easy riding distance of the West Virginia track.
