ALD. J. J. COUGHLINS FUNERAL . The funeral of J. J. Coughlin, Alderman of the first ward for many years, and well known breeder and owner of horses, was held Monday at eleven a. m., with all the pomp and ceremony which he loved so well. Some 200 policemen and as many firemen led the procession headed by Jack Bramballs band from the undertakers parlors to St. Johns Catholic Church, where a solemn high mass was sung. Mayor Edward J. Kelly, County Treasurer John Toman, Attorney-General Otto Kerner, Aid. James B. Bowler and a host of other politicians were among the mourners, which numbered several thousand, poor and rich alike. Buriai was in .Calvary Cemetery.
