ARCADIAN had good speed to maintain a forward position, responded strongly when shaken up, crowded DUNVEGAN when engaging the loaders midway of the stretch, wore down FRANCO SAXON and came out gradually at the close. MAN AT ARMS began slowly, settled in stride to improve his position stoutly and finished "strongly on the outside. FRANCO SAXON set a steady pace, shook off JALEO after going a half mile and saved ground, but tired near the close. DUNVEGAN moved up stoutly nearing the stretch, met with interference and faltered right at the end. ANN McGINTY could not reach the leaders. GOLDEN WAND, slow to get into full stride, passed tiring horses. SUMMER HAIL was never a threat. JALEO quit badly. VEDALIA was rushed off her feet to get into a forward position and had nothing left for the closing drive. TOTE BOARD broke very slowly. KNIGHT GALLANT was steadied in front while racing clear, but failed to withstand the winner when placed to a drive. BALAPIN raced into contention with a rush and finished gamely. JOLYON was prominent, but failed to rally for the closing test. LONE HAND was carried very wide on the first turn, then lost ground for the balance of the trip. MICRO could not improve her position at any time. BARGAIN BOY had no excuses. CHIEF EVERGREEN was never a factor. DUB quit, as did TOUTMEPAL. ANNIBAL, in hand and fencing well for the first two miles, raced to the leaders readily when shaken up, displaced ROCKY RUN after clearing the seventeenth jump, then was steadied to the finish after drawing clear. ROCKY RUN jumped nicely from the beginning, shook off RIOTER and held on gamely, although no match for the winner when challenged. TORTURER, permitted to fall back early and rated for a mile and a half, made a bold effort at the fifteenth fence, then hung. RIOTER was sent up to force the carlv pace, then tired after two miles. GOOD CHANCE was racing forwardly when he lost his rider at the last" jump. BUCK LANGHORNE fell at the seventeenth fence. SNOBBY SCAMP lost rider at the fifteenth fence. MINTSON displaced LADY ORCHID midway of the back stretch, was steadied nicely while saving ground and fought it out strongly when caught. SHORT DISTANCE, pinched off right after the start, swung to the outside and . closed with good courage when clear. LADY ORCHID could hot hold her lead and tired gradually. MAGICIENNE, away poorly, was steered wide and closed a, big gap. PROWL raced well placed, but could not handle his weight. ODDESA LAD began tirini after going three-quarters. PLAY BY PLAY was squeezed back early. WISE MENTOR and MAGICIENNE were away poorly, PETIT JEAN was placed on the outside and was also away poorlv. The latter, rated close up, drove through on the inside of the leaders entering the stretch, finished stoutly and just missed. UP THE CREEK was a close contender from the start, engaged the pace maker nearing the stretch, bumped DOUBLE BACK and hung nearing the finish. BUDS BELL was taken to the outside on the turn, made a weak bid and tired in the stretch. BALLINDERRY was overmatched. GREY NURSE quit badly. SIXTH RACE 3-4 MILE Out of Chute. NO SIR was ridden hard while racing in tight quarters and showed a good effort. JOANNY was in the first flight and could not keep up. GRAEME CRACKER lost ground entering the stretch and tired.
