LOUISVILLE, Ky., Nov. 14 A brothejr to Lightspur is the prized yearling in a crop of eleven Roscoe Goose is breaking and preparing for racing at Churchill Downs. He is a fine looking bay son of Blue Larkspur and Chicleight and appears to be a larger horse than Lightspur was this time last year. The other Marsch yearlings are brown colt by Bull Dog Susan Thatcher; black colt by Display Princess Camelia; bay filly by Wise Counsellor Belle Alliance; gray filly by Display Jezebel; and bay filly by Blue Larkspur Ruddy Light. Goose has four yearlings he bought at the Lexington auctions, and one the property of R. C. Thatcher, Pueblo, Colo., banker. The latter is a chestnut son of Supremus and Rooker. Irvana and Miss Baker were sent to Bashford Manor Farm to be turned out for the winter. In addition to Lightspur, the only old horses Goose will keep up this winter are Fanfun and Silver Braid. He thought at first he would send Lightspur to the farm, but it will be some time before his bruised heels return to normal and today Goose decided to winter the horse at Churchill Downs. Fifteen horses, the property of A. G. Tarn, were shipped to Tropical Park recently. Another car containing the eight horses Tommy Root trains for various owners and six yearlings, the property of C. H. Pat Knebelkamp and Kirby Ramsey, also left for Miami. Before leaving, Tarn sent four horses to Golden Maxim Place and four to Joe Thomas farm. Six two-year-olds and seven yearlings were purchased by Frank Podesta from Emerson F. Woodward, owner of Valdina Farm, Texas and they were shipped to Montgomery Park, Memphis, Tenn. where they will be wintered. Podesta intends selecting several of the seasoned performers and a few of the yearlings which will be two years old at the time for a campaign at Oaklawn Park. Podesta stated that the yearlings are sons and daughters of Osculator and Sortie. SHIP TO HIALEAH. . This week J. J. Flanigan, trainer of Valdina Farm, will ship ten seasoned performers and eighteen yearlings to Hialeah Park. Heretofore the Valdina charges have campaigned at Santa Anita but with two-year-old racing at the Arcadia track, owner Woodward selected Miami. Twenty-four colts and geldings are being broken at Valdina Farm at Sabinal, Texas, and Flanigan broke thirty fillies at Churchill Downs. All were bred and raised by their owner. Bryant Ott will winter Safe and Sound, Distillation, Sweep Through, Perfect Devil and Employer, along with three yearlings at Churchill Downs. Ott plans on bringing Employer in from Mrs. Thomas Murphys Golden Maxim Place in the near future and the three-year-olds ankles will be fired. All Forlorn was sent to Henry Knights Alma-hurst Farm and she will be bred next spring. The yearlings are, bay gelding by Judge Hay La Donna Mobila; black colt by Dark Hero Arch Duchess; and bay filly by Bubbling Over Irene T. The latter, the property of Young and Rogers, is Irene T.s first foal. The other two are the property of Mrs. Thelma Ott. - .
