AMERICAN AMBASSADOR CALLED BACK HOME WASHINGTON, D. C, Nov. 14. In the wake of widespread persecution of Jews throughout Nazi Germany, Secretary of State Cordell Hull made the terse announcement late today that Ambassador Hugh R. Wilson had been called home from his post in Berlin. The ambassadors trip, the secretary said, was for "conference and consultation." Whether or not Wilsons being summoned home means an indefinite recall of the American ambassor could not be immediately learned. The information learned at the state department was confined to the bare news that Americas ambassador being summoned home for consultation.
