FIELD HORSES SUCCESSFUL NEW ORLEANS, La., Nov. 28. "Field horses" have met with an unusual amount of success during the first three days of the Louisiana Jockey Clubs meeting at the Fair Grounds course, eight of the twenty-one races decided during this period having been accounted for by thoroughbreds -grouped in the mutuel field, while on two other occasions, "Fielders" finished in second place. The purpose of grouping all over nine horses competing in a race in the mutuel field, has always included the three horses figuring to have the least chance of scoring a victory, except at tracks where it is the policy of grouping the lasi trio in the race according to post positions. The continued success of the "Fielders" has been the basis of much comment. i
