ONA BOY, never far back and in hand for a half mile, came to the outside for the drive and, wearing down SADIE F. just inside the last eighth, outfinished GOOD OMEN. The latter forced the pace under light erestraint, responded to strong pressure in the drive and held on gamely. MALEMAN, a sharp factor from the beginning, was brought to the outside when unable to get through on the rail entering the stretch and closed boldly. SADIE F. made the pace under good rating, held on well under pressure to the last eighth arid then tired. ONE NIGHT made up ground fast after reaching the last quarter. BOLD LOVER was outrun. LINGER AWHILE had good speed from the beginning, responded to urging after reaching the stretch, then bore out, but hold PEGGY BYRD safe. The latter, slow to begin, was rushed into a contending position in the first quarter, lost much ground entering the stretch, closed boldly and might have been best. CARRIE K., a sharp factor from the beginning, was hard ridden after three-eighths and closed well. LOSTAGAL, well up from the start and. in hand for three-eighths, held on fairly well thereafter under vigorous handling. UPSY made the pace without need pf urging, held on well to the last eighth and then tired. WILLOW PLUME, away fast but unable to keep up, never threatened seriously. JACKKNIFE, outrun for a half mile, was hard ridden thereafter and closed well. BLIND STAR, never far back and in hand for three-eighths, moved up thereafter under vigorous handling. HUEU made up ground fast after being outrun to the last quarter. IN CHANCERY tired in the last eighth. ANCIENT TIMES had good speed for five-eighths, then tired badly. BREAD KING was through early. BIRDS EYES rider got his left foot out of the stirrup after three-eighths" and could not do his mount justice. GLOWSET, saving ground all the way, was taken up when unable to get through on the inside in the stretch, canio out and butnped GOLDEN FATE, then finished well. MAIDEN DREAM, alertly handled, set the pace under extreme pressure, con- , tinued gamely, but was not good enough. METAURUS was allowed to drop out of it soon after the start, lost ground going around horses in the stretch and closed strongly. GOLDEN FATE was much used in getting to the leaders and tired rapidly when bumped. MARCABALA had speed for three-eighths, then tired steadily thereafter and was slightly lame after the race. OZARK made up ground fast after being outrun to the last quarter., MORRIS GRINER, in hand for about three-quarters, was put to good pressure thereafter and closed well. BARBARA A. made the pace under light restraint, held on well to the final eighth and gave way. ADOLF tired. DINNER JACKET quit after three-quarters. LENA J. moved around the leaders with a rush after making the far turn and got to the front, but was unable to retain her advantage. SMILING PRINCE worked his way up through the field and closed a good gap. OFF DUTY could not keep up. PATCHPOCKET had speed for three-quarters and set the early pace under pressure, tiring badly thereafter. VEILSTAR was through early.
